about

This is a gift to just about everybody. These are all of the demos that were recorded over the almost 3-month writing session back in October-December of 2012, with a small few being written January 2013. Something to note, the sound on these demos is not consistent; they do not sound like they were recorded, mixed, or mastered from the same period. Some of these tracks actually sound like demos. These demos were all recorded on a B.C.Rich Warlock, a Fender Squier P-Bass, and on some tracks, my first guitar ever - a Fender Squier Bullet Strat (ran for about $120 or so when I got mine). All tracks, except drums, were recorded on a single Shure SM57 microphone, and all guitar tones were produced by the Peavey AmpKit LiNK and it's official iPhone application. Drums were programmed and used samples from the NSA Custom Series Drumkit, by Dean a.k.a. "Nekro" on the website "rekkerd.org". Drum samples were managed in Battery 3, by Native Instruments. Some tracks have drums programmed in EZDrummer by Toontrack, and some guitar tracks played through the Peavey ReValver MKIII.V amp simulator. On a select few, guitar tracks are played through the Boss ME-70 Multi Effects Pedal. These are all the demos from the failed Awakening project that I feel confident releasing. These are the final versions of the songs for now, unless I decide to do anything at all with them. I'm working on cleanup of my Bandcamp to get ready for something coming at some point from now.
